www.indiewire.com/2017/03/hans-zimmer-batman-movies-ben-affleck-christian-bale-pain-1201794436/I don't know if it is the exact reason as to why he quit scoring superhero movies but I'm glad he is done with them. Also he is mostly right about the difference in Bale and Affleck performances i.e., pain. Affleck's Batman is physically superior and he played the part well in BvS but he isn't capable of emoting this.. even if he gets this kind of stuff to act, he can't. Anyway that's another thing to discuss in some other time. P.S: sorry for the click bait title. Had to cramp it to fit the space.

Seems more like Zimmer's making excuses. He didn't even score the Ben Affleck scenes in BVS, that was Junkie XL. I'm also glad he's done with superhero films. So much of his type of music is featured throughout that particular sub-genre as is.
I do agree that Bale's Batman / Bruce could handle emotions a bit better, but then again he was working with a better story

Wow, if he felt that way maybe he shouldn't agree to score the film instead of whining now?

Shots fired. I love when people have the balls to speak their mind.

Good. I love Hans, but they really need to divorce themselves creatively from the Nolan films in every way possible. A clean break is desperately needed.

To be honest I always thought Bale was just okay as Batman; those movies work for other reasons. But I definitely agree on the emptiness of Affleck's portrayal and I have no idea why people were jumping up and down so much about his performance when the movie itself was so criticized. The comic book nerds probably liked him because he was so buff and because he was brooding/gruff but without any of the actual sensitivity/emoting of Keaton/Bale, so he's "tougher" or something.
Affleck simply isn't a very good actor so even if he got better material he wouldn't be able to do anything good with it.
Neither Bale nor Affleck hold a candle to Keaton, though; the definitive portrayal.
