I love Breathless and Contempt, but most of the Godard films I loved were the ones featuring the radiant Anna Karina. What is your favorite collaboration between them? Mine is Pierrot Le Fou. Band of Outsiders comes close though.

When you're a young artist you think you know everything - that was Godard, and he really didn't.......when you're a young artist you feel some things very deeply, that was Vivre Sa Vie.
When you combine what you think you know, with what you know you feel....you can make a great film.......in his case a masterpiece.

Pierrot Le Fou and Alphaville are by far Godard's two greatest works. Both quite masterful.

Alphaville, which for me gets drowned out because it's not political or experimental enough for the average Godard fanatic, I guess, but it's a crazy, immersive ride that has some of his weirdest (and funniest) ideas. But everything they did together was good.

I expected Vivre Sa Vie to get the most votes. But none for Band of Outsiders and all those Alphaville votes surprises me.
