Since we've spent so much time chatting the 70 year olds the past few days might as well do 2 of the best (maybe the 2 best?) film actors in their 60s who this year in A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood and The Lighthouse gave 2 Oscar worthy performances that you can't really picture anyone else playing but them.
Who is your pick between these guys? If you have any suggestion who could have played those roles too feel free to make a suggestion, I'm a bit stumped tbh.

Actually been thinking about who else could've played Rogers and all I've come up with is David Strathairn!
But I don't think he would've done as well as Hanks who is surprisingly very good in this role - only thing I really liked about the movie - especially that puppet hotel scene where Rhys storms out - where Hanks says something like "thank you.... for your perspective." You see in that scene how his indefatigable warmness could feel off-human to someone else, and with the puppets and how dearly he considers them how he's like a hyper intelligent kid in some ways and in the way Hanks pauses and processes how he sort of functions too....
Back to thread - I prefer Dafoe but I also consider him Lead so it's tough to compare.

Strahaim would be a very good choice!
I'll be the minority here and vote for Hanks.
