Who watched? That shit was dope. I figured it'd be a letdown after so many years away, but that was exactly what I was hoping for. Any fans here?

Superb restart for the series. Terrific animation unsurprisingly, and the Aku daughters storyline is very fascinating. Considering that Samurai Jack has never done a story arc before due to it being made before those basically a requirement for action cartoons, I'm interested to see how it plays out.
Also, Tyler Bates proved me correct with the music. There was very little of it, but most of it sounded like the "beat music". Heh!

Just watched the second episode. It was just as superb as the first. Excellent animation all-around and seeing Samurai Jack being chased by Aku's daughter, in typical Samurai Jack fashion with no dialogue was an amazing sequence.

Just saw the latest episode. Man, was that incredible. Excellent animation and it was great to see us explore Jack's past even further, even if it was only for a few scenes.
Plus the opening with Jack drifting away in the water, with no dialogue, and blood flowing out of him. Just plain perfection.

Just saw the latest installment and thought it was a superb episode. A nice refreshing change from last week's heavy episode. It was great to see more humor, especially Jack being sarcastic and self-aware even while being in the belly of the beast (I've gotten out before), and it was cool to get a little perspective of how Ashi, one of the daughters of Aku, actually acts and thinks, even if that overall plot element was a bit repetitive.
It's also interesting to note that Jack talks more in this episode then usual. I think adds to his character at this point, though.
The art was terrific as ever as well, especially during the underwater sequences when we saw the sea creature. Overall it was another great episode.

It was nice to get some levity again.

Just watched the latest episode. I was a little worried that it was gonna turn into a clip-show episode, but it really become an episode showing Samurai Jack's exploits and how he's managed to change / help others. Great episode! Demongo's appearance was hilarious.

Demongo's appearance was hilarious. It's a perfect companion episode to the last. While the last one showed Aku's rein, this one focused on all the good that Jack has done. There's a lot of fun callbacks. Do I wish we spent a little more time with Jack as he was in the darkest place he's ever been? Yes, but overall a very good episode.

I actually didn't mind that they didn't focus on Jack as much directly. The show has done some great episodes in the past starring other characters, like Jack & The Bounty Hunters & the classic The Tale of X-9. This felt like it was right in that wheel-house & it worked well because of it.

This season has been phenomenal so far. I honestly have no idea how things are going to play out and I love how high the stakes feel and how real the tension is.

The latest episode was just fantastic. Jack finally found himself and gained the sword again & seeing Ashi take down an entire army was an amazing thing to behold. Also some fantastic animation as per usual.

Saw the latest episode & it basically felt like filler. Probably one of my least favorite of the revival so far. Not bad though, the Jack / Ashi sudden relationship felt shoe-horned in and handled clumsily, even if it did made some such, I guess, but there was a lot of great animation, and the opening with Jack's head turning into a fish was hilarious. Plus Jack's reaction to Ashi being naked was also hysterical.

Wouldn't be bad normally, but I don't think it was a good idea to put it this late in the series. Also the episode was entirely a sex metaphor for better or worse.

A lot of people seem to think the relationship was coming, so I guess it wasn't surprising. Jack killing Aku though could delete Ashi from history, so that's probably a big issue coming up. Can't wait to see what they do next though.

I'd been wondering for a while if they were gonna play up that romance but then figured they might just keep the two as strong allies. I don't mind it, though. I thought their interactions were cute and funny.

Just watched the latest episode. The opening was more awkward Jack / Ashi's relationship moments, but once Jack started briefly talking about his past "old home and his early life", the episode really improved. Seeing Ashi be forced to fight Jack & then literally watching Jack's fall was great.

I honestly don't think I've ever seen a better reboot for a series. Here's hoping that Twin Peaks is anywhere near as good as this has been.

Well here it is, the finale episode of Samurai Jack, the conclusion we've all been waiting for, and I gotta say Ttis is how you do a finale. Epic, but also hilarious at points in classic Samurai Jack fashion, while somehow having a bittersweet ending. The scene where Jack's former allies & friend all joining together to help him was superb, plus the ending with Ashi's vanishing, while probably cliche, did make me teary-eyed.

I'm kinda late but I did wanna weigh in: I thought it was a lovely yet bittersweet finale. Jack's allies coming together for a final battle with Aku was awesome, and that ultimate showdown between Jack and Aku was so so satisfying. That being said I'm still super bummed about Ashi being erased from existence, but I was annoyed that it happened just as they almost got married and not right after Aku died. That felt like such an unnecessary gut-punch. My friends and I were expecting Ashi to disappear but I hated that it happened at the moment where it would hurt Jack just as much as the audience (although, now that I wrote that out, I guess that makes sense...but I still thought it was a dick move on the writers' part). Still, that final shot of Jack standing beneath the sakura tree was enough to get me choked up.
