No wins, but a runner-up spot for Looking for Mr. Goodbar and nominations for Annie Hall and Reds. But she is always a joy and a delight to watch.

I'm not sure about Oscar nods but I can tell you this: she is the type of actress that appeals to a specific type of movie fan and that's as a realistic, non-exotic performer. To many people things they can recognize as regular/normal/real are by extension the best acting for them. That's a real radical notion to some, because it wipes out a lot of the biggest actors/actresses - especially actresses I'd say.
But Keaton finished very high on my GOAT actresses list precisely because of that one attribute - because she's quirky singular and grounded and rarely do those quirks triumph over the role she's acting. Like she could never play a lot of famous big biographic roles or do accents or that thing - that is utterly at odds with what makes her special. In Shoot the Moon when she's smoking that joint in the bathtub little scenes like that are really examples where she has it - grounded, real. I'd also give a shout out to Manhattan Murder Mystery I mean again, I don't know if it's a nod but well, not many actresses could do that - that's a great comic turn.

Wonderful actress. Only given her two noms myself (Looking for Mr. Goodbar and Reds, and she's my winner for Reds), but I also remember liking her a lot in Marvin's Room and Shoot the Moon off the top of my head.
