Which of her characters made you laugh the hardest?

All really great TBH. Gonna go with The Heat as she was less of a charactature than Bridesmaides and her interactions with Sandra Bullock were pure gold.

Spy for me. Then the Heat.

I probably laughed more at her specifically in The Heat, but Spy is the better film.

Haven’t seen any of these nor do I care to but I just wanna say that I fucking hate The Heat because nearly every time I tell someone that Heat is one of my favorite films they think I’m talking about that Melissa McCarthy bullshit.

Hey, I like the "Melissa McCarthy bullshit" better than one of your favorite films.

She's hilarious in both Bridesmaids and Spy, but I'll give it to the latter - which in general is actually a very good comedy.

In Spy, she has the better material to work with, but The Heat is not far behind

Hail, Melissa Bullshit! Maybe if you watch them you'll change your mind. Just saying... ( coming from a bitter old man )

Of those three, Spy is probably her funniest... her best performance is The Nines, which she is my win for.
But... who the fuck voted for The Heat? That movie is not only terrible, but she isn't particularly good in it either.

I was gonna post this clip in my old thread Examples of Female Physical Comedy but the movie is godawful so I don't wanna drive anyone to it save for this scene, which I cried laughing to on first watch, then watched again with complete second-hand cringe, and idk how I'll react when I see it again but for your viewing pleasure....

Of those options I'd go with Spy, although her performance in The Heat is great and runs it pretty close.
