I had totally forgotten this is a Netflix movie. But it's getting a theater run, am I right?? Normally, they would do limited theatrical run to qualify for Oscars. Now that that every awards group is allowing direct to streaming movies to qualify due to COVID, they don't really need to.

Lily coming for that nom From what I've heard, Seyfried is more likely.

I was planning to watch this in theaters. I mean, if things are back to normal after Covid and all...

Instantly in love with the black and white cinematography.

If Oscars actually happen this year, voting for best cinematography will be a VERY tough call!

Feels like a trailer is just around the corner and will hopefully stick with the October release date.

Those shots are gorgeous. Welles would approve, but probably not of much else about the movie

Feels like a trailer is just around the corner and will hopefully stick with the October release date. Hopefully not. With the eligibility extension rules made by The Academy, it's better if they release it in December or January.

With the eligibility extension rules made by The Academy, it's better if they release it in December or January. A black and white film about Hollywood directed by David Fincher isn't going to be forgotten by the Academy in a few short months. They can release it whenever the hell they want to and as long as it's good it's still going to make an impact.

Hearing that Seyfried is going to be Netflix's biggest push when it comes to this film.

I'm already in love with those stills. Thanks for posting them! Can't wait for the trailer to see some actual footage.

Hearing that Seyfried is going to be Netflix's biggest push when it comes to this film. Seyfried over Oldman??? I think right now, it's likely that Oldman's third on their priority list. Lindo and Chadwick Boseman (for Ma Rainey) are poised to be their pushes, provided they keep the former in lead where he belongs.

I thought Oldman was their main priority in that. But if they're gonna place Lindo in BA plus Boseman (provided the movie comes out this year and CB is a lead), yeah, then it makes sense.

Oldman is an easy nom, Netflix don't really have to put in much effort there. But not an easy win...
