I worked hard as hell to finish it by tonight, so I hope it's a winner. It's actually an adaptation of Emma Cline's WONDERFUL 2016 novel "The Girls". It's a spec that I'm really hoping (if I get it around the right people in the next few months, whether or not another draft is needed) can get picked off the ground. It's VERY much "Almost Famous" meets "Martha Marcy May Marlene" (sorry to people that hate the standard "___ meets ___" pitch). I will PM anyone that wants a look.
EDIT: Noticed one pesky error. I renamed a character Craig to his original name Victor. Only in one line of dialogue you will notice that. It is since fixed.

Sure. Btw I read a good 30 pages of the last one you sent me and enjoyed it, but forgot to finish it and forgot to ever tell you that I enjoyed it. My apologies.

This is not directed towards you but why is it that some screenwriters can't take criticism? I tried to give my friend some notes and I think it pissed him off.

To varying degrees, I wholeheartedly agree it's very tough to hear any ounce of criticism, especially when you've spent months writing 90-120+ pages of text only to get told it needs work. It's hard to know when you've got it nailed down, it could be in the first draft or 30th, but you need enough people to tell you. Everyone wants to get it in the first draft, so it's always a bummer when you hear it's not quite there. Hell, I've gotten a script handed back that said it just doesn't work from the start and there's nothing to fix. It's an investment of time where you've been inside your own head crafting every inch of it and sometimes it's hard for people to understand that their vision does not translate to everyone else.

I get that. My friend is beyond talented and I just asked a question. ..if he ever considered killing off a particular character and it upset him cause he said that character is integral part of story. He probably got hyper about it and thought he had to change the whole thing. I get that but it was just a question. Ha ha. I also don't think he liked my dialogue suggestions and I was just trying to be helpful. I see it as just a suggestion, it doesn't mean you gotta change it but the thing is you can sell something and still end up having someone rewrite your work. One thing I did learn though is that verbal feedback is better. I think he misunderstood what I was saying.

Oh honey, is it about me?
People are always writing stuff for me, or inspired by me or just me... Only this morning I watched some guy rush over and leave a note on my car... I think it must be the title of his screenplay: Parking Ticket.

I suppose I should ask for feedback too. I may have forgotten to mention that.
