I have HEAPS.
Top of my head: Digable Planets, 'Blowout Comb' De La Soul, 'De La Sou Is Dead' Slick Rick, 'The Great Adventures of Slick Rick' The Fugees, 'The Score' Lil' Kim, 'Hard Core' Nas, 'Stillmatic' Tribe, 'The Low End Theory' Blu, 'York' Les Sages Poete de la rue, 'Qu'est ce qui fait marcher les Sages' The Pharcyde, 'Bizarre Ryde to the Pharcyde' Dilla Dog, 'Donuts' Gang Starr, 'Mass Appeal' Eric B. & Rakim, 'Paid in Full', Common, 'Like Water for Chocolate' Jungle Brothers, 'Done By the Forces of Nature' The debut album from Arrested Development has been on replay this whole week tho!!!! One of the best for sure.
I know many may not count it as a rap album but 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' is a masterpiece and she spits on more than half the tracks. That pick often gets a lot of flack but just because she's also one of the greatest singers of her era doesn't mean her work as an MC on the same album should be discounted. 'Lost Ones' and 'Final Hour' are masterful, haunting displays of the power of hip hop.

Not really my genre, but The Fugees, 'The Score' would be tops for me from the Rap I have listened to and "Fu-Gee-La" would probably be my favourite rap song.

Toss-up between The Marshall Mathers LP and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. All Eyez on Me is up there as well.

So many, but I think I've listened to 36 Chambers the most.
And The Infamous is up there. You want an example of atmospheric hip-hop? That's the go to album right there. You instantly feel like you're in the streets of Queens.

You instantly feel like you're in the streets of Queens. TI is definitely my 2nd as well. i feel like even though people really love Shook Ones Part II and a couple others from there, the whole thing from start to finish is fucking phenomenal; content is varied, beats are varied, it's touching, tender, funny, violent, tragic, chilling, has its own narrative, has pretty much perfect pacing, like goddamn how the hell did two kids from queens at the age of 19 make this shit lmao

The fact that those kids were able to instantly transport you into their world and create such a dense project at the same time is exactly what hip-hop is about.

It would probably be Enter the Wu (36 Chambers) by the Wu Tang Clan. Hell a solo album by one of the Wu Tang members (Supreme Clientele, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Fishscale, Liquid Swords, etc) would come before most other rap albums by other artists on my list. I'm a Wu fan, dammit! lol.
Other contenders would be Illmatic of course, one of Outkast's early albums, or Mobb Deep's dark The Infamous.
Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star by Black Star has long been one of my favorite rap albums as well. It's fantastic and should have more recognition.

Definitely using this as a reference to check out a lot of older stuff I've missed out on, as I didn't get into rap/ hip-hop until a couple years ago so I've been playing catch up.
So far, though, my favorite is easily Because the Internet from Childish Gambino. I love albums that tell a story while also staying musically interesting, and this is the whole package. Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly and Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy are up there though.
