Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow,...............Creeps in this petty pace from day to dayWashington is going to kill that speech specifically ........because THAT speech ties into an older Macbeth Side note:
I'm so glad the new poster sort of accentuates the lower case "b" in Macbeth as "b" and not as an upper case "B" - not Mac Beth because so many people on MAR get that wrong......j / k - only one you know who does ........."Mac Beth" is actually when you just buy a girl named Beth a Big Mac........ Also: The poster looks like " The Tragedy of Meth" - if you look real quick - which would be a whole different movie

Visual knockout......... The birds as the witches is just an inspired and brilliant idea ..............they look really old to play Macbeth & Lady Macbeth .........and not old like The Irishman old you smart-asses .........looks very pacinoyes-y tbh : dark, serious, somber............I really can't understand why I''m not invited to more parties

Even for just being a teaser, it looks incredible. God that cinematography alone is spellbinding.

Fuuuuuuck!!! This seems incredible.
I hope to god, like really really really hope that Coen didn’t do anything weird with the accents of the Americans in the movie.

By the pricking of my thumbs....that looks fucking great!!! Visually it's beautiful. Not giving a whole lot away about the performances, but even in those limited subtle moments Denzel is such a masterful actor for the camera that you get the sense he is not here to play.

This looks flat out INCREDIBLE!! This needs to be seen in theaters. Also, who is the person doing the voice over in the trailer? It gave me goose bumps.

Jesus, has the A24 branding even claimed Joel Coen now? I pray it’s just the marketing.

cinematography looks very Sven Nykvist and Gunnar Fischer inspired. Someone in the YT comments compared it to Seventh Seal and I totally see it

Jesus, has the A24 branding even claimed Joel Coen now? I pray it’s just the marketing. I mean. Macbeth is the most A24 thing that Shakespeare ever wrote, so it makes sense. I don't see this as Coen so much as Shakespeare, and in that sense it looks exactly like I would envision the story: gloomy, bloody, scary.

I just still find it so funny that when he decided to do this Shakespeare adaptation, Joel Coen said: "Oh yeah let's cast a 65 year old Afro-American guy as the 30-40 year old white Scottish Lord Macbeth!"

You haven't heard? Coen's casting of Denzel Washington as the lead in this is a genius move. And judging by the short trailer, it looks like Coen/Denzel have put a new interesting spin on it. Denzel is coming for Oscar #3

Yep..now I see why Tricia Tuttle, the director of the London Film Festival, called it a gorgeous film. Wonder if we’ll get a full trailer right after it world premieres at NYFF?

I find funny that you don't mention casting Frances McDormand, who's also a lot older than Lady McBeth, and also American. Gee, I wonder why...
