From the ones I've seen, Enemy.

Haven't seen the first two ones. I think Sicario is his most accomplished work as of yet.

Sicario just barely edgers out Arrival for me.

Prisoners is by far his best film. Haven't seen some of his early work though.

Arrival and Polytechnique are easily his best for me, with the former being a bit better put together.

I think Prisoners is an effective movie that fumbles hard in the final act, whereas Sicario is just poorly written full stop and Villeneuve's assured, atmospheric direction simply can't make up for that.

Still not seen his first three, but from Incendies onwards I think Prisoners is comfortably his best overall.

I've only seen: Prisoners 6/10 Enemy 9/10 Sicario 1/10 (I hated this film!) Arrival 9.5/10
I can't think of another Director I've had such a love/hate relationship with. I detested Sicario and thought Prisoners was only OK. I loved Enemy and Arrival was one of my favourites of 2016 - I adored it!
Anyway - my pick: Arrival!

I've only seen four
Arrival - 8 Prisoners - 8 Sicario - 6 Enemy - 4 (it's edgy tryhard nonsense)

Sicario is his best but Enemy is incredible underrated.

I don't remember much about Incendies except that I vaguely liked it, and I haven't seen anything before that, but of the rest it's easily Arrival. It has its weaknesses, but for the most part it's really strong, quality filmmaking. Enemy is good but pretty forgettable. Prisoners is in a weird spot where it has the feel of a great movie, like it tries to project that sort of prestige, but the result is actually really weak. Sicario was, like, uniformly competent, but nothing more or less than that.

Incendies. Gave it a 6,though.
Not a fan,at all.
I'd rank them like this:
Incendies 6 Polytechnique 5.5 Arrival 5 Enemy 5 Sicario 4 Prisoners 2

I can understand if people think Arrival is a boring fest, Enemy is a pile of nonsense, but Prisoners is a solid mystery thriller. What lead you to give it a two out of ten score?

I freaking hate Prisoners too I respect directing and the actors, especially Gyllenhaal there does something very special but the story is so damn stupid imho. The second Leo shows up you know she is the big bad and that scene where Gyllenhaal opens cases and snakes come out of them and he starts aiming his gun at them still makes me laugh to be fair I only saw it once but my initial reaction to this was NO.

Enemy was the first of his films that I saw, and is still my favorite. Incendies would be a close second.
