Rebecca Hall, even if the bag she's carrying in that photo is heinous.

Oh honey, I'm going with Ros... I was deeply impressed after seeing her play Marie Colvin in A Private War.

I'm not sure I like Hall as much in anything as I like Pike in Gone Girl and An Education, but until those two performances I never liked Pike in anything, so I'd probably still go with Hall overall.

Hall arguably has a more consistently strong set of performances under her belt, and her work in Christine is particularly tremendous, but she has yet to come close to touching Pike's achievement in Gone Girl, and I was so impressed with Pike in A Private War recently that I have to give her the edge.

The Libertine? Barney’s Version? Barney's Version came after An Education! I liked her in The Libertine, more than Morton even which surprised me, and I liked her in Made in Dagenham too, she was one of the standouts of that massive, largely wasted ensemble with her one killer scene, but didn't like her enough in either to totally turn me around on whatever the hell my issue was.
