Holy God this dialogue sounds atrocious Did you see the trailers? I could have predicted gems like "It's just a machine, you have a human brain and human soul!" or "This is my 4 year old daughter singing french. She was able to fluently learn in just moments by downloading it into her cyber brain." And the stupid, dumbed down exposition and philosophy, natch. Or the Hollywood bits like the Major gasping for air randomly after waking up. Or the wimpy silencers. I was very cautiously optimistic until the trailers dropped, but there is no way this will be good.

@ Martin Stett
I knew something wasn't right when I realized that 'Baby Geniuses' producer, Steven Paul, was attached to this film.

Not surprised. Really sad, though. A live-action GITS could be great, shame that Hollywood probably went and screwed-it-up.

@ Martin Stett I knew something wasn't right when I realized that 'Baby Geniuses' producer, Steven Paul, was attached to this film. Funny enough, I was listening to latest episode of The Projection Booth on Never Too Young To Die, a film that Paul was both a producer on, and helped worked on the story for. Based off all the interviews from that episode, it sounds like Paul might live in his "own world" a little bit. Cause boy do they make it sound like he's delusional.
