Thoughts?
The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader-Murdering Mom: - Emmy wins for Holly Hunter (GOAT-worthy) and Beau Bridges. - Golden Globe win for Bridges, nomination for Hunter.
It Could Happen To You - Haven't seen it, but Cage and Fonda are probably great.
How to Make an American Quilt - SAG Ensemble nominee.
The Baby Dance - Stockard Channing nominated for an Emmy, SAG, and Indie Spirit. - Channing and Laura Dern nominated for Golden Globes.
If These Walls Could Talk 2 (Segment - 1961) - Golden Globe, Emmy, and SAG wins for Vanessa Redgrave.
When Billie Beat Bobby - Holly Hunter nominated for an Emmy.
Normal - Jessica Lange and Tom Wilkinson nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes.
The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio - Julianne Moore nominated for a Satellite Award.
Olive Kitteridge - Frances McDormand (GOAT-worthy) wins Emmy and SAG. Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray win Emmys.
The Wife - Glenn Close is doing preeeeeeeeeeetty well.
Of course a lot of these are TV movies, where there's less competition.... but still pretty impressive to me.

I really love Holly's twofer. I also don't mind The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio, and I haven't seen It Could Happen to You.
Not really big on the others.

When Billie Beat Bobby isn't very good, Ron Silver is unbearable, Holly Hunter at least nails the physicality of her role.
Positively True Adventures & Olive Kitteridge, both very well written, HH and Fran in them I think are 2 of my Top 3 greatest female performances ever for a TV production.
It Could Happen to You is solid, light stuff - and Cage is the standout in an understated performance, proving (with Guarding Tess from the same year) that he can play "softer" traditional leads - that '94-'97 period interestingly shows some of his range.
Prize Winner is decently made with some smart discussion on family dynamic, the stubborn patriarch, etc, but it's forgettable, Moore's good but the character is written a little too sweetly.
That's what I've seen from Jane Anderson. Her next project White Houses is a mini on Eleanor Roosevelt and her lesbian lover. Fran's gotta be considered for the role, no? She doesn't have a serious biopic in her filmography and that kind of major role, I'd be curious .....
