One of the most interesting, ecletic, improved working actors. Top 10 favorite at least.

Yes. He's not a particularly versatile actor, the guy has his limits, but what he's good at, he's very good at.

He can be stiff sometimes, but when he's given something he can tear into there is no one better. He's the MVP of The Neon Demon, he made John Wick what it is. Even his earlier performances sometimes hint that he's far better than his reputation. I especially like his hilarious, scene stealing turn in Much Ado About Nothing, playing Don Jon with an evil laugh and minions under his command.

Yes basically what stephen said.
I think he has a knack for comedy. I think he also did well in most of his blockbuster action fare that I've seen. He may not exactly have been Oscar worthy, but I think he brought things to things like the first Matrix film and to something like Point Break that were unique to him. For instance, even though Speed 2 had an even dumber concept than the first Speed did, even with Sandra Bullock reprising her role, the film just didn't work at all with Jason Patric. I don't know if it would have worked with Reeves either, but like I said the first Speed had a dumb concept that shouldn't have worked but did, and a lot of that is due to Reeves.
Off the top of my head, I would also say he was wonderful in The Gift, and if that film had been more successful I think he might have gotten some worthy Oscar buzz for a performance that was so unlike most of the roles that he had done.
However, he can be downright bad too, but even despite that I think he's underrated by the general public as an actor because I think they seem him like some of his characters specifically Ted from the Bill and Ted films.

I didn't like Speed, but the only reason that worked at all was Dennis Hopper who acted like he snorted a line before each take. Probably did.

He's not like some chameleon who can disappear into or play any role, but in the right role, or maybe under the right director/direction he's fine. Dude was perfectly fine in Something's Gotta Give and Private Lives of Pippa Lee. My Own Private Idaho too all those years ago.
Honestly if you lift those Matrix sequels out of his career in which he was hopelessly out of his depth I think Keanu's acting would be seen as far less of a joke than tends to have become these past 15 years. He should sue the Wachowski's for character assassination.

For the most part, yes, he is a perfectly good and occasionally quite good actor.

He can be when given the right material... something that specifically fits his style - like John Wick. I also happen to think he's a pretty great comedic actor. Stuff like Destination Wedding, Knock Knock (for completely different reasons) and the Bill & Ted movies kinda showcase what he's good at. So I wouldn't include him among the all-time greats, but he's a perfectly serviceable actor with occasionally higher highs than usual...as long as you can deal with the occasional lower lows than usual too.

Yes. He's really good with engaging his physicality into a role, has solid screen presence, and is a natural at comedy. His main deficits are accent work and projecting emotion, unfortunately for him two very big and showy things that are easy for casual audiences to spot and criticize.

Yes. The only thing I dislike him in was Bram Stoker's Dracula.

He never impressed me as a dramatic actor, but he's a good action star. There's something about him, a certain "guy-next-door" quality, allied with his shyness/low profile, that makes him a great choice for certain types of roles (like Neo, from the Matrix trilogy) and also makes it very difficult not to like him.
