It's a charming and well above average in comedy, elevated to that point by a witty script and charming performances across the board from the three main ladies and Stanley Tucci. It is occasionally trite and slips into chiche now and then, but the complete package is a winner all the same.

It's the movie that gave us Emily Blunt, so I'll forever be grateful for it.

The first half is great comedy. The second one slips into cliché land.

It's solid. The performances (especially Streep and Tucci) make it better than it ought to be... but it's just so damn tiring. Much like Meet the Parents, I just get so aggravated by the main character's actions towards the authority figures and the awkwardness that ensues. It makes ME feel awkward, and not in a good way.
Still, as far as Streep's nominated performances the last 15 years, it's at least one of the better ones. Also, even though the film goes into cliche rom-com land at the end... it's better than most similar films (again, the cast does elevate the material considerably).

It's one of those cliché movies I always watch towards the end when it's on tv. Emily Blunt was a revelation, I don't do lineups (since I haven't seen enough) but if I do she'd probably my supporting actress win this year, and I wish I had those clothes (I'm a guy but you know).

One of the most charming films of the past couple of decades. Both funny and touching, with Streep and Tucci giving career best or near career best performances.

I found the story very entertaining. This is a well-made movie with fun characters.
