Adams, King (SAG snub or not) and The Favourite "bitches" are LOCKED, imo. But that fifth slot could go MANY ways, imo. Blunt? Robbie? Foy? A SHOCK like Cardellini cuz Green Book overperforms? Kidman for Boy Erased cuz they couldn't fit her in supporting?
Thoughts??

My money is on Emily Blunt.

Blunt. It’s her year to get her first nomination, and I think she’s missing for Mary Poppins.

I hope it's Michelle Yeoh but I doubt that would happen.

I'm not taking Yeoh out of my predictions, dammit. Even though I probably should after the WGA snubbed her film. But the last time I had this strong of a hunch about someone who lacked precursor attention and took them out at the last minute, it was me swapping Abrahamson for Scott back in 2015, three days before the nominations were announced. Never again. Yeoh, baby!

Before BAFTA, I guess I'll go with Blunt. She got double nominations at SAG, and has both Mary Poppins Returns and A Quiet Place at the box office. Plus, both films are showing up to a certain extent at the guilds. There's also a lot of love for her and John Krasinski in the industry.
If not her, I guess Foy just becomes she seems like the most conventional choice. She had buzz ever since she was cast. She played a long suffering wife which is like catnip in the Supporting Actress category. Plus, she had won several industry awards for The Crown already.

Whichever of Blunt, Robbie or Foy get in for BAFTA tomorrow. If they all somehow managed to get in, I'd rank their chances as Blunt > Robbie > Foy.

Robbie once she gets the BAFTA nomination.

I think it's either Blunt or Foy (I'm leaning more towards the latter).
A shocker, like you say, it's also possible (it has happened many times, actually). If it happens, I think it will be either Marina de Tavira or Linda Cardellini.

I think it's going to be between Foy, Robbie, and Blunt but I wouldn't be shocked if Cardelini or even Debicki happen though I'm not expecting it. Right now I'm predicting Foy.
I don't think Yeoh or Kidman are going anywhere but anything's possible. Quite a crowded field this year.

Robbie or Blunt if they get BAFTA. If both get in, it will be interesting. Blunt has the stronger film, but Robbie is more baity. If Foy gets BAFTA, it could be any of the three.

Think it's still just Foy.

Foy is less well-known than Robbie so I think it'll be the latter.

First Man is doing slightly better that I thought so I'm going with Foy but Elizabeth I is such an undeniable role....

I actually predict Emily Blunt now.... as I think she will miss out Best Actress and I have the feeling they want to honor her somehow this year.
