People should have made peace with the fact that Colette wasn't going to be nominated weeks ago. Hawke's been absolutely dominating and it looked like he had a real shot for a while. He still does I guess, but I can feel it slipping away. Colette never had much of a chance, if for no other reason than Lead Actress is so much more competitive. If the critics' awards alone were predictors for the Oscars, Hawke would be clear and away the frontrunner not only for a nomination but to win.
