Only if you comply with the director’s vision. The whole thing is a creative collaboration so if you’re doing something that doesn’t make sense with the narrative then you might as well just quit before they fire you.

Anyone who has ever acted before (and especially anyone who's good at it) will tell you acting isn't easy.
If by easiest part of filmmaking you mean that it's easier to find decent actors to be in your movie than anything else, that may be true.
