I think it's a good excercise in style. I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember it being compelling and fun. Jodie Foster is quite good in it.

Underrated Fincher film for sure ! I loved the whole concept of it & Jodie really brought it strong here. Some really intense moments through out. Also one of the few times I liked Forrest Whitaker (probably because he didn't use some stupid accent in this haha) Oh and Dwight Yoakam was quite terrifying as Raoul too .

Definitely on the lower, less ambitious end for Fincher, but I still think it's a really gripping, engaging thriller with a fantastic Jodie Foster. It's also hugely rewatchable.

Extremely entertaining with Fincher sort of showing off how crafty he can be and how easily he can sustain tension. I recommend the behind the scenes - you see Fincher in total obsessive mode, even with details you can't see on camera lol. He's always been very hands-on and technical, it's a bit surprising he hasn't developed a 'Soderbergh situation' to shoot and edit his own stuff.
Also gonna note a really great line that Leto says, "This is worse than impossible. It's unpleasant."

The soundtrack dictates a suspense atmosphere very adequately, and the actors are quite good.

Great technical achievement, with a director who knows what he wants and how to get it. (Which is no small feat.)
Wonderful casting too, keeps you on your toes.
Not Fincher's best, but overall a standout thriller, an expertly made, Hollywood-backed genre film. Miss those days.

Low tier Fincher but still a good film. That tracking shot though!
