For your information, I’ll be a little leaguer!
I’ll be at HHN, so I don’t have any plans of dressing up. I don’t really like dressing up anyway.

Going as Steve from Blues Clues Nice! I work at an elementary school so I hope at least some kids "get" mine. I was Raggedy Ann last year and hardly anyone knew who I was.

This isn't directed to any of you but it always surprises me how big of a thing Halloween is in America. At least from what I've experienced, no one here in Australia really gives a shit.

Well yesterday I was proven wrong. I was in the city for the first time on Halloween and a shit tonne of people were dressed up. Still don't get what the big fuss is though tbh.

Well, any excuse to let your freak flag fly is always gonna be a big deal, and Halloween just happens to be the greatest. One reason why I love it though is the atmosphere it encourages. I don’t enjoy parties or dressing up in costume, but I do enjoy the wonderful spookiness surrounding it. Most of the year, I vehemently hate getting scared, but the campy and mystical aura of Halloween gives me much greater enjoyment of it. It’s like the novelty of sitting around a campfire and telling a ghost story. We may be spooked by it, but we love the chills it gives us. It’s the one time we’re okay with being frightened and embracing the macabre.

Here in India some rich people in metro cities are following this trend of celebrating Halloween. I don't know why!

I believe Halloween in the US is the second most popular holiday after Christmas in terms of decorating and first in terms of candy sales. I live near Salem, Mass. and they celebrate Halloween for the entire month of October!
I recently read an article about the spread of Halloween via American pop culture. Australia was listed as one place where it's on the rise because of American films/TV shows though it is seen by some as an unwanted American influence. It must be weird, though, since this is your springtime, right?
