Diane Ladd wants to direct a movie about Martha Mitchell, wife of the Nixon-era attorney general, whose ghost visited Ladd on the night of Martha's death, inspiring a four-decade journey to bring this to the screen.

This is the most gloriously batshit, exciting prospect I've ever heard, especially when you read more in-depth about Ladd's discussions about the project.

I went into that article expecting a joke and came out of it with a new addition to my top 10 most anticipated movies... even if Diane sounds a little kooky she's obviously passionate as hell about it and there are some solid names hopping on the train with her.
