Paul Schrader posted about it on Fb saying the first time he watched the new cut he didn't think it was better, just "more," but on a second watch he decided that "it's better precisely because it is more." I was curious if anyone else had seen it yet and had thoughts. I'm thinking of buying it because the original version is in my top 10 of all time, but I wanted to get a feel for the reception first.

I've not seen it yet, and I'm hoping that it fixes my main issue with the original cut -- namely, that I feel that it's two different movies haphazardly stitched in the middle. The transition between the nature/grace thread to the Cain/Abel resentment between the brothers didn't quite work for me, and I'm hoping this remedies that.
