Francisca is a kind of odd and kind of great film playing with perspective and style and at first you don't think it works but as it goes along it gains a real power. You realize that no one really does anything like that in period stuff nowadays at all.

Niiiiiice. Underrated gem, and the Minnelli film that should've won that year.

This list though... Francisca is probably my second favourite Manoel de Oliveira film, and probably one of the best films ever to be made in my country, it's certainly odd, ambiguous, original too, an unique experience. I still prefer Abraham's Valley of course Some Came Running, pretty great stuff.

Tea and Sympathy looks like it'll be one of those movies that comes along once in a great while that pretty much emotionally destroys me, so I'm saving that for when...I'm in the mood to be potentially emotionally destroyed As I said on LB, Halloween II is pretty solid and would likely improve on rewatch for me. All three of the Ferrara movies look good, The Blackout especially. A Bride for Rip Van Winkle seems like something I'd really like. Definitely high priority. Oh, and After Last Season sounds fucking crazy. Maybe not in a good way, but I'm open to checking it out.

King of New York is great. Excited to see the other two Ferraras.
Don't remember anything from Halloween II, aside from hating it.
