1. The Monkey Island series in general but if I have to choose one I'd go with Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge. 2. Age of Empires II 3. Diablo II 4. Portal 5. Dragon Age: Origins I love your choices. It's been years since I last played Diablo though, so I ought to revisit it. By the way, what are your thought on Dragon Age 2? I guess Diablo might be too simple for most fans of role-playing games but it's that straightforwardness that got me when I was younger. I tried playing Diablo III recently but it wasn't the same, I think it's very easy to fall in the nostalgic favorites when it comes to video games. Anyway, I haven't gotten around to Dragon Age 2 yet but I was disappointed to hear it's a big drop in quality. Have you played it?

Yes, I have played it and it's definitely not as good as Origins, mainly because the areas and most battles are extremely one-dimentional and repetitive (there's very little variety to be found in either) and the writing is not as good. But I enjoyed it overall mainly because I found most of the companions and antagonists quite interesting.

Well, my favorite thing about the first one was the characters so now I definitely want to check it out.

We're already on Dragon Age 3 (Inquisition), it has the best battle system and implements a more open world approach, the characters are also very good, but something still feels like it's missing. The story isn't as epic and I hate how the NPCs in the quests are so basic and uninteresting. Like in Origins loved how you would get into banter with random foes you ran into. In Inquisition you have a mission you find the target and start fighting so very Skyrim/elder scrolls which I hate.

It's one of the few video games I'm looking forward to playing though.

I've been trying to stay away from all of the reviews so I don't get any spoilers. Loved the first two seasons, especially season one which I've played through 5-6 times or so.

I'm super excited about it though. My favorite character in all of Walking Dead including comics, show, and games is Clementine so I'm pretty pumped to play it.

I thought all of the episodes already came out. That makes me feel better about not playing to yet then since I like to play them all at once too rather than waiting months in between. I'm excited to see where they take the story.

I'm pretty positive only the first 2 episodes are out and they came out at the same time when it launched. Episode 3 comes out in March. I'm not sure when the complete season will be out. Telltale is making a Guardians Of The Galaxy game next and the first episode for that is supposed to be releasing in late April so I'd imagine TWD Season 3 will be out fully before then.

Speaking of Telltale, anyone play the Borderlands ones? With their dev team, I'm sure it's probably pretty fun (even if their PC patch for BL2 ruins level scaling to the point of unplayable after a certain point...).

That's good to hear. I'm glad they'll have it released before the summer. This is the first time I'm hearing about the GOTG game. That'll be interesting. I've been patiently waiting for season two of Wolf Among Us to come out ever since the end of the first season.

I have a buddy that loves the Telltale Walking Dead series that ended up playing the Borderlands one and he really enjoyed it (he's also a huge fan of the Boderland games).

The story is exceptional. Easily one of the 10 best video game stories I've experienced. I'm not a Borderlands fan either. I tried to play the first one and just couldn't get into it at all. I am a huge Telltale fan though. Loved The Walking Deads, Borderlands, and Game Of Thrones. I've beaten the first episode of The Wolf Among Us. I got distracted and haven't gotten back to it yet, but it was very good. I have Batman and I'm in the process of playing through it currently. I've only completed the first episode which was quite great.

Skyrim The Witcher 3
nothing else I've played is good enough to describe as "best," but I have fond memories of CoD MW1 & 2 and Black Ops 1 & 2 (before I got sick of them), Rome Total War (which I still play every now and then), and Civ3 (a huuuuuge part of my childhood).
Oh yeah, and Oregon Trail. That was the shit.

I thought I would have answered this already but anyway, lets revive the thread:
1. Ghost Master 2. KOTOR (I&II, though I prefer II) 3. Assasins's Creed II (also possibly including Brotherhood which was a great follow-up in the same engine) 4. Rayman 3 5. Anno series
HM: Need for Speed Underground, Battlefield Bad Company II, Star Wars Empire at War, Counter Strike 1.6, Super Mario World
