This isn't one I would have too strong a feeling on, but I've always been of the opinion that major life choices and decisions should be left to a person to make themselves, when they are old enough and wise enough to decide/choose for themselves. As cherry said, unless it is for case specific medical reasons, I guess I would be against this.

I can get the purely intellectual argument against it. But personally I'm glad I had it done as a baby. I would have wanted it done anyway and getting it done as an adult seems..........not fun.
