11 years since Mist (2007). What a waste of talent.

He did Mob City a few years ago, a very fine show that nevertheless got canned just as it was stretching its legs.
Darabont is a notorious perfectionist and some would say megalomaniac, as a lot of film and TV projects he attaches himself to wind up falling through because of "creative differences." The Walking Dead is a prime example. Darabont's ambition outweighed what the network was willing to shill out for the budget, and when Darabont refused to back down, AMC fired him. Darabont is a fantastic writer/director, arguably one of the most underrated talents out there, but he also doesn't seem to know when or how to play ball or to reach compromises, and that notoriety has likely stalled him from being able to do other projects because studios and execs don't want to work with him, citing him as a "prima donna."
With that said, Darabont also commands extreme loyalty with those he works with.

I have no idea, but he seriously needs to be the one who makes a 2 or 3 part film adaptation of 'The Stand'.
