I'm actually gonna be the rogue vote on this one and actually vote for Buscemi. Gandolfini was fantastic, and definitely deserves all the acclaim he gets for that role . . . but I was surprised at how Buscemi was able to feel like such a strong force to be reckoned with in his own right, and that even if he wasn't physically imposing (like the real Nucky Johnson was), I could believe people would jump whenever he said frog. This isn't to say that Buscemi has a flawless arc; I hated the Billie Kent storyline and Season 5 was a gutted atrocity across the board when it comes to characterization, but he had excellent chemistry with Kelly Macdonald.
