For instance, every time I have a hang-nail and I pull it, I have have that visualization that it is going to pull out a line all the way up to my shoulder

OH MY GOD WHY WOULD YOU PULL THE HANG NAIL, YOU FUCKING BARBARIAN!
For me, if I leave my shoes anywhere outside of my closet/shoe rack, I have this big fear that there is now a spider nesting in there just waiting to bite my foot. I have a fear of spiders already (which I find to be completely rational, I mean something the size of a fucking nickel can put me in the god damned hospital) and it only happened ONE TIME when I was but a wee lad... but yeah, I can't trust it. I'll sometimes throw my shoe at a wall or something to scare out anything that may have taken residence inside.
Reading all this some people might think I live somewhere where this is a real problem like Australia or the desert... nope. Long Island, where the biggest thing to fear are the drivers.

I might have that fear if pulling hangnails wasn't ridiculously satisfying. Ever since my little sister was born I'm always really paranoid that she's gonna get hurt. Like we're all gonna look away for one second and she's gonna trip while running and break her nose (almost happened to me when I was 7); or pull a heavy drawer, have it land on her feet and wind up breaking or losing them; or somehow climb up and jump out of a window; or put something up her nose and get it stuck there; or eat something she's not supposed to and choke. That last one horrifies me to no end. If I'm babysitting and it's just the two of us at home, I need to have her in my field of vision at all times. I have no idea what I'm gonna do when/if I have children of my own.

I don't why but the sight of a pineapple really creeps me out . I just can't look at it . It makes me really uncomfortable . It's been like this since childhood.

Dying from giving myself a brain infection caused by plucking nose hairs.
Giving myself cancer from storing an old flip phone in the same drawer as my underwear.

I haven't even had the time to think about that yet. I guess I'll have calmed down by then, at least a little. I'm just freaked out by how fragile and dependent children are. Once she's older she'll be more discerning and know what she's doing, but as a young kid there's no predicting what she's gonna get herself up to. Like, everywhere I look I spot a million different ways that she could get hurt, all waiting to be discovered in the worst way, so I worry that I'm not gonna do a good enough job looking after her. Not 24/7, but it does pop up in my head from time to time. But then again, I'm very creative when it comes to imagining how everything might go wrong, so I guess that's just me in general.

Zeb31Well, consider children's bones are very elastic. They rarely break their nose. My youngest son closed his pinky in the door when he was 1.5 yo (I mean door completely closed), and when they took a radiography it was totally intact.

There is a certain texture of paper towel/napkin/paper plate that sends a shiver down my spine and I refuse to touch.

Oh honey, I sometimes have this reoccurring nightmare that I'm on a 17 hour long haul flight, to somewhere like Australia... I'm the only one on the plane and I am being forced to watch Grace of Monaco on loop... Absolutely horrific. I've woken up soaked in sweat, screaming! I can't think of anything worse... Well, maybe having Nicole sitting next to me at the same time...

Whenever I'm on a boat / bridge / anything over the sea / lake / river, I'm afraid I can lose anything that can fall in the water.

Being crushed and squashed during sex (not that I don't like it at the time), but there is the matter of the next day when I wake up the sores and bruises and not being able to walk perfect. A third of the girls I considered banging/have banged are heavier than me. delete your account

You've been a serious dick lately. What the hell is wrong with you dude? Trump supporters can suck a dick
Makes sense that they're all 15 year olds who pathetically post about how they "bang" lots of girls on the internet

I have a weird tendency to discreetly take pictures of buses and their identification, and text them to people I know in case the driver turns out to be sketchy.

I don't know is this is a fear per se, but I don't like being barefoot. I have this thing about the feel of almost anything against my feet, other than socks, so I am always in socks. I go through a tonne of the things.
