My friends and I are trying to come up with a list of movies that have the Lynch vibe, but are not directed by the man himself, but we can only think of Donnie Darko. What pictures you guys think that fit the criteria?

Berberian Sound Studio comes to mind, primarily because it emphasizes one element in Lynch's films a lot of his copycats fail to recognize: his sound design. Lynch's films work aurally as well as visually, perhaps even more so.

I'm not the biggest Lynch fan, I think the "Lynchian" film was more a series of near misses until he then hit one way out of the park - the brilliant Mulholland Drive.
But prior to that he had a series of adamant imitators pretty early on - Tales from Gimli Hosiptal is one by Guy Maddin

I hate the word Lynchian. You can see debts to older filmmakers in his work but no one has made a movie that feels like one of Lynch's.

Nah. I don't even like Lynch but at least he has talent behind the camera unlike Wiseau.

Lol. Is Lynchian the new Hitchcockian or Kubrickian?
