It's very likely that Denis Villeneuve will start working on 'Dune' once he's done with 'Blade Runner 2049'. The problem is, from what I've heard, 'Dune' is just too long to be made into a single film and someone on Reddit said that he should make it into a two-part film.
What do you think? Do you think Villeneuve should make 'Dune' into two parts? Why or why not?

I don't think Dune can make a good movie, period. You need a series (which they tried and failed once already) just to etch the surface.

I wish he could resurrect vision from Jodorowsky and maybe even team up with him and I suggest it should have atleast three parts. If it was my movie I would make each one dedicated to one site from Dune which means Atreides, Ordos and Harkonnen.

After BR2049 and a rewatch of Sicario changing my mind on that film, consider me won over. I only read the original novel (which I kinda thought was crap), but Villeneuve was given a long leash and several briefcases of unmarked large denomination bills for a Blade Runner sequel, and look what he did with it.
He's reaching for the stars, so if this man wants to make two movies to tell this story, he's earned the goodwill from me to try it out.

At this point, he could announce he was going to make a reboot of Battlefield Earth, and I would give him complete faith. I hope he’ll do genres outside of sci-fi from time to time, but if he wants to do it, that’s good enough for me.

I am not really crazy about Chalamet, and I find the Internet's obsession with him immensely disquieting, but I could see him as Paul. If anything, it will ensure that his rabid-ass fandom goes out to see this movie if that happens, and that can only be a good thing for Dune.

I inadvertently run into a picture or some story about him more frequently than I like. Not knocking him as actor because I think he’s good, but they’re all over him like leeches!

I think the kid's got talent (though not enough to where I'd call him the best of his generation yet), but you'd think he'd won five Oscars and scared Daniel Day-Lewis into retirement with the way people treat him nowadays.

He's very talented and I love what he did in Call Me By Your Name, but I gotta agree with you guys that Chalamet's persona seems very... idk? Annoying? He always looks like he's trying too hard to be cool or something like that.
Anyways, he's a good actor and I'd like to see him in Dune!

He generally comes off as quite awkward and self-effacing in interviews. Very sharp contrast with a contemporary like Ansel Whatshisface who just screams try-hard douche. It’s also not his fault that Tumblr tweens have cottoned to him to the psychotic extent that they have.

I'm not head over heels about Chalamet & I'm just as tired of seeing him in literally everything as everyone else is, but this would admittedly be a great casting choice. I can totally see it.
