My bad if this thread has already been made. I’m going to go with the scene where Rooney Mara moves and drives away from the house in A Ghost Story. Also, when Caesar dies at the end of War for the Planet of the Apes. When Gosling dies with Tears in Rain playing in the background at the end of Blade Runner 2049 hit me in the feels too. Don’t know how I forgot about Logan. Those last 15 minutes or so made me tear up. When he says “so this is how it feels” and she calls him Dad, also when she turns the cross into an X ..damn. If I had to go with the saddest one, it’d probably for War for the Planet of the Apes.

Hmmm... 1. "Was my mother afraid?" and the resulting "I've Never Been To Me" singalong ~ You Were Never Really Here (I count it as 2017) 2. Joi's last moments ~ Blade Runner 20493. K in the snow ~ Blade Runner 20494. "It wasn't the guy, Mildred." ~ Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri5. The last shot of Harry Dean Stanton ~ Lucky6. Any scene with Gil Birmingham ~ Wind River

"Are you here? Are you always here? I miss you. I think about you all the time. I hear your voice say my name when I dream and when I wake up, there are tears streaming down my face. I just miss you, it's as simple as that. I want to tell you everything. I don't understand what you're saying. I can't hear your voice." from Phantom Thread.

1. A Ghost Story "I don't think they're coming back." Like my BR2049 entry, this is a character looking back on loss after a little time has passed and the initial shock has worn off. And it is heartbreaking. 2. Blade Runner 2049 The nude Joi advertisement. It's the first time that Joe looks back on her, and what he gets is a mockery, a tantalizing sexualized image saying that he "looks like a good Joe." Which can make him question (his thoughts are certainly left ambiguous) how much he truly loved Joi, or if she ever truly loved him. 3. Logan Whenever Charles tried to get Logan to slow down and look at real life, with real people.

The ending of Coco is the single most heartbreaking moment of 2017, hands down. Along with that, Logan's death in Logan The ending of Blade Runner 2049 The entirety of A Ghost Story, honestly The airport scene in Lady Bird

It's pretty sad that no one in a position to do something about it before its release, saw the Atlantis scenes in Justice League, and thought "this isn't good enough, we can do better, much better".

The revelation that Hector wrote "Remember Me" for Coco, and later when Miguel tries to get Coco to remember him before he's gone forever - Coco Logan's death. Xavier's death was brutal too but Laura holding Logan and crying is what kills me. - Logan Moonee crying after running away - The Florida Project Caesar's death - War for the Planet of the Apes That final shot of Elio as well as the scene preceding it - Call Me By Your Name Willoughby's suicide and the reactions from his wife and the other cops - Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Yondu's death - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The ending of "The Florida Project" I started crying when SPOILER ALERT they appeared to take her away and just couldn't stop then. My three little kids were sleeping by my side and I kept thinking of them.. if I ever became so poor, had to take risks just to get by and then officials came to make things worse instead of giving me an actual way out... It was brutal.

People won't know if they can click on it or not because they don't know what movies you are spoiling.
