Rather spectacular trailer - some shots look like direct lifts/homage to the original film and an appropriately grainy out of time feel. I'm not sure about this but if you're going to do it, that's the right way to approach is.

Holy shit! Looks spetacular, switching the original Suspiria vibes for the gray oppression of Rosemary's Baby and Possession. Fascinating trailer! Also, the logo at the end looks very good.

Looks good I'm actually getting some DON'T LOOK NOW vibes .

Chloe Moretz just had to come and fuck everything up, didn't she.
Looks spectacular (and spectacularly retro) otherwise.

This looks exquisite, and very much its own thing as Guadagnino promised. Tilda Swinton looks terrific as usual here, and I'm rooting for Dakota Johnson big time.

Yeah, gonna echo the sentiments that the cinematography looks sufficiently old-school (in a good way). I've always thought Dakota Johnson had promise but hadn't been able to quite live up to it with her choices of roles, so I'm hoping she rips into this one with full gusto.

Interesting. By the looks of the trailer i got the impression that Guadagnino didn't just recreate the original but tried to make his own thing.

Visually, this looks really interesting, and I like the cast and director. I'm down for it.

Looks interesting I guess. It's a tricky little teaser for sure.

Looks fantastic. I hope I get to watch the original before I see this one though.

My anticipation for this just shot way up... I'm getting Carrie-era De Palma vibes from this.
I know this is supposed to be more of a re-imagining than a straight remake, but since the score to the original is so iconic, it will be interesting to see what Thom Yorke will come up with.

My most anticipated of the year.
Are you guys thinking this will have an in-competition premiere at Venice?

Also, I think Stacy Martin would've been a much better choice for Susie. Still don't see Johnson's appeal.

My most anticipated of the year. Are you guys thinking this will have an in-competition premiere at Venice? Probably. Venice has kinda eclipsed Cannes as the festival you want to debut your major awards contenders, just because of its proximity to the actual awards season. Not that I think it's going to be anything the Academy will want to go anywhere near (nor do I think Amazon Studios could do much with it), but still.

Since horror-geek (and well-known fan of the original Suspiria and Call Me By Your Name) Guillermo del Toro will be the head of the jury at this year's Venice, I really think Luca could win the Golden Lion if the movie delivers.

Feels more like a Best Director contender to me, at least by what historically goes to those sorts of films ( Drive and Heli at Cannes, for example). I gotta say, as good as this looks, the thing I'm most excited about is Thom Yorke's score. I wonder if he can live up to Jonny G's influence.

Looks pretty fantastic though I wonder if it’s gonna be another one of those horror films like The Witch or It Follows that’ll be critically acclaimed and generally well-liked on this board but won’t flow as well with casual audiences and end up with less than a 7 on IMDb.

Ebersdorf looks more like Vanessa Redgrave than Tilda Swinton, personally.

I'm pretty sure I saw a set photo somewhere of Swinton in old man makeup.
