Actresses I mostly associate with the 90s who I believe had a less acclaimed 00s or 10s. And star in period type films at least a few times.....so I guess that's where the "princess" label comes from. Angelica Huston Winona Ryder Emma Thompson Helena Bonham Carter Michelle Pfeiffer Miranda Richardson Emily Watson Madeleine Stowe Holly Hunter Emmanuelle Béart Mine: not much between #1-3, those are all some of my all-time favorites. #4-5 I dig their stuff even if I'm not always thinking of them. #6-7 I like their presence in films and they're better than most of what we have today, even though their films often elevate them instead of the other way around. #8-9 I'm just not overly familiar with, seen only half of their acclaimed stuff. And #10 is... just....dead last for me. 1. Michelle Pfeiffer 2. Winona Ryder 3. Emma Thompson 4. Emily Watson 5. Angelica Huston 6. Madeleine Stowe 7. Helena Bonham-Carter 8. Emmanuelle Béart 9. Miranda Richardson 10. Holly Hunter Weird list. Anyways: Richardson Watson Thompson Hunter Carter Pfeiffer Beart Ryder Stowe Haven’t seen enough of Huston.

1. Holly Hunter: her work in The Piano is one of my favorites from an actress all-time. She's not as consistent as the follwing two, but her peak hasn't been matched yet. 2. Winona Ryder: she hasn't been truly, truly great, but she's always very good and quite charming. Wino could carry a mediocre movie on her back and was taking a path to a very interesting career until the shoplifting incident wrecked her. 3. Michelle Pfeiffer: also always memorable. 4. Emma Thompson: I think she can be quite annoying sometimes as I usually associate her with "british biopics Oscar-bait", but she's wowed me more than once through the decades. 5. Angelica Huston: she's been in very few things I've seen, but always very good. 6. Helena Bonham Carter: she kept being a huge promise all way into the 90's, and she never really delivered her promise. Even if her current career isn't what she seemed to be after in her start, she still delivered some very inspired turns. 7. Emily Watson: I love her in Breaking the Waves and Hillary & Jackie, but nowadays I only see her in those boring british prestige pics. 8. Emmanuelle Béart/Miranda Richardson/Madeleine Stowe: honestly? I had to google who were these three.

8. Emmanuelle Béart/Miranda Richardson/Madeleine Stowe: honestly? I had to google who were these three. You've never heard of them even peripherally? Not that you had to actively seek out their work, but surely there's a popular movie or two in there that you must have seen with them in it. But they were all pretty popular to movie-minded people in the 90s. Richardson is the equivalent of Sally Hawkins or something. Beart is like Lea Seydoux, and Madeleine Stowe was like Elizabeth Olsen (maybe not the best example though) - in some popular hits but not regarded as a great actress. Once I googled them, I knew who they were. Beart especially since I really dig the M:I movies. But they're just not that memorable to me.
