Whoever voted for Dafne Keen definitely didn't see Happy End bc they would've voted for Fanzine Harduin instead !!

Bummed about Gosling missing, but suspected because it missed the coveted Tommen precursor

Pattinson better run away with the win.

Kaluuya and Gosling were both very, very close.

after ddl and mcavoy im not even mad about the franco nod. what's wrong with franco? He's the best from the bunch well, it's the whole film in general, im not a fan by miiiiles (for which franco must be blamed as a director but im going far from the point here), and franco as an actor doesn't do much to elevate the script other than the wiseau voice.

the director bunch is hella A. would've liked peele and gray to make it, but can't think of anyone here on whose expense they would make it.

Generally pleased with these nominees even if there aren't too many surprises. Especially excited by The Florida Project love in major categories and the nominations for Keoghan and Beale. Sorely hurt by the snubs of Gosling, Poulter, Shannon, Lady Bird's editing, Blade Runner's ensemble, Columbus in general, and a few others, but oh well, I'll get over it.

A fine batch of nominees overall, although A Ghost Story's near absence is quite unfortunate. Still, thanks for putting this together Viced.

Okay, just gonna go through categories one at a time.
Soundtrack: Nice. Sound Editing: Also Nice. Sound Mixing: 4/5 ain’t bad. Score: friggin’ Dunkirk Zimmer! Original Song: What do people see in “I Get Overwhelmed?” I’ve listened to it four or five times now, I never remember *anything* about it. Animated Feature: Nice. Makeup and Hairstyling: Okay. NOW the lovefest for The Shape of Water makes sense to me. I assumed it was all Mo-Cap. Choreography: Nice. Visual Effects: Nice. Film Editing: I, Tonya actually took me out of it with the Editing, but the others are decent. Costume Design: Oh, sweet! Production Design: Sweet! Cinematography: I match up with these perfectly! Adapted and Original Screenplay: Both Nice lineups. But still hung up on those issues holding Logan back. Ensemble Cast: Nice.
Following with a Part 2.

Supporting Actress: Have I said before how much I LOATHE Alison Janney in I, Tonya? Well, it bears repeating. Seriously, any one of the other nominees winning would make me happier.
Supporting Actor: I’ll never get Michael Stuhlbarg, but a fine, fine lineup regardless. Just sorely missing Woody.
Lead Actress: Just Heavenly.
Lead Actor: Nice one, but shame on all y’all who left out Andy Serkis.
Director: Hard to argue.
Picture: Lovely.
Thanks for putting a great presentation together Viced. And thanks to Stephen for your great montages.
