So they decided to finally do something about Roman. Find it interesting that Cosby was the catalyst rather than Harvey. Says a lot.

lol.
He was convicted of the rape back in the 70's for fuck's sake... since then he's gotten a few nominations and a win. Now... now they are expelling him? Half of those same people were begging and petitioning for him to be exonerated. But now 40 years after the fact, yeah. It's unbelievable what he did! I can't believe it! He's a gross pig!

I question the timing. I mean why wait to expelled now rather than 8 months ago. My guess is they knew they had to get rid of Cosby and someone said how bad it would look if you got rid of him and kept Roman. That would have been huge on Twitter.

Culture dictates what's permissable/allowable. they were allowed to support or make excuses for Polanski in those 40 years without any blowback or threat to their careers/positions, so they did it. Times have changed, and the culture is now one that makes it risky to support that previous position. People jump to the position that's most expendient to protect their own livelyhoods and careers. It's not rocket science as to why it's happening now, as opposed to in the past.

I'm just waiting for a Reggie Bush type situation, where he had his Heisman taken away from him because he got extra benefits from USC. Harvey & Roman and Spacey amongst other will get stripped of their hardware

I'm simply giving a logical explaination of why people who may have supported these guys in the past, are no longer doing so, and may even condemn them. And I'm only giving that explaination because someone else seemed confused s to how that could happen.

Are they going to take PoLAnski's Oscar back , though ? The US government can't even get him back to properly hand down a sentence, let alone a bunch of Hollywood switch-coat brats trying to get a statue back.

Who's next ? Kevin Spacey ? Spacey hasn't actually been convicted of a crime - Cosby and Polanski have.

What was Bill Cosby doing in the Academy in the first place? He's a television actor and I can't name any of his films off the top of my head.
