Nice video, I enjoyed watching it! Jude Law from AI is a great pick. Although I will say as incredible as Affleck is in The Assassination of Jesse James (I know it's cliche to say it at this point but as far as acting goes 2007 is just insanely good) I have no idea how he could be considered supporting

Nothing he does in the film is extricable from the shadow of Jesse James.

That's an interesting way to look at it. Rockwell is underrated in that film.

Some lovely choices here, particularly Newman for Road to Perdition (I thought I was the only one), Richard Jordan, Jude Law, and Issey Ogata.
A few odd category placements though. Affleck? Patinkin? I used to have Affleck supporting too based on a thematic interpenetration similar to yours so I get it, but now I have him as co-lead with Pitt upon reconsidering. Even if he was a supporting character in his own life, he isn't one in his own film. Jesse casts a shadow over everything to be sure, but the movie is squarely about how Bob lives in that shadow. And as for Princess Bride, I know Wesley and Buttcerup kick off the story but Montoya commands almost every frame once he enters it. He takes over the story like McDormand took over Fargo despite only being a major player in the second half.

When it comes to Affleck, I've argued the "poetry of being a supporting character in his own biopic" line enough that I don't think I can justify taking it back. And you know how bad I want Ben Foster to be a winner in my personal awards. Patinkin as a co-lead is something I've never heard or considered. I see what you're saying, but I think it's mainly due to Patinkin being such a dynamic force within that film that he just overshadows everybody. Glad to see some love for Jordan. Can't say I recall anyone else going to bat for Gettysburg and especially him.
