Michael Mann and Denzel Washington seemed almost an ideal pairing. I know Mann has expressed his admiration for Denzel and probably wanted it to happen at some point, but it never did.
Shame Mann seems well past his prime, as these two men at the peak of their powers could have done something special.

Jack Nicholson and Spielberg. That's just fucking weird. They were both Stars throughout 80s and 90s and Nicholson enjoyed working with spielbergesque directors like Kubrick and Burton but he never had a chance work with him. When I said about Spielberg working with Nicholson or Hackman/Pacino/De Niro... That's the pairing I really would like to see the most!!

Downey Jr. and The Coens feels like a match made in screwball comedy heaven. Alternatively, I can see them pulling some serious, low key (for once in a decade), character actor work out of him in one of their neo-noirs.
I also remain adamant that Florence Pugh needs to star in Anna Biller’s next film.
