www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-43386417He beat his girlfriend, the actress Marie Trintignant, to death and served 4 years sentence only. He abused his ex wife too who eventually committed suicide. Now he wants to make concerts again. Your thoughts? Separate art from the artist? Or he should follow a low profile?

cherry68 Nope , he should stay the fuck out of the public eye ! I used to be a fan of his band NOIR DESIR but what he did to Marie Trintignant was absolutely monstruous (and he only served like what 4/5 years). Drugs and booze don't excuse everything . Not to mention what he did to his ex-wife . Marie's mother , Nadine is very angry about him planning on going on tour and I don't blame her .

Especially when he seems to follow an abusive pattern with all his women (another girlfriend was threatened). How can a man punch a girlfriend to death and serve only 4 years is totally out of my comprehension. I don't know lithuanian law, but it feels totally inadequate. I can get he needs to earn a living, but showing in public, looking for applause and wanting celebration looks like an offense not only to women, but to justice itself.

Don't count on it. Just recently, there was a murder victim who was himself a murderer (convicted of second degree) that served... I think 3 or 4 years. I don't know how you murder someone and get out after a couple of years.

He's a vile human being and frankly any idiot that wants to attend a concert by him deserves a good kick in the butt.
That said, he did his time, there's no legal impediment for him to sing.
