Hard choice cause both are flat out AWESOME. I have to go with cats though.
I had a cat for quite a long time growing up . was such a wonderful pet that would rub up against your leg and she would feast every now & then on tuna . Sadly, she passed away at the age of 15 or 16 due to cancer (RIP) . lived a long healthy life for a cat at least .
What I most love about cats is their independence. I can be gone all weekend on a trip and they are fine. Just chilling / relaxing at home (thank GOD for the litter box )
Oh and cats are flat out funny as fuck when you are baked (and playing with a laser pointer with them) .

Not really a dog person, but cats are great.

I've seen my cat throw snowballs. Actually pack the snow into balls, pick them up in her claws, and throw them at other cats. Let's see a dog do that.* *To be fair, she was an incredibly intelligent cat that knew how to unlock doors or how to press the buttons that make the printer work. So she was pretty much in the mensa level of cat intelligence.
