Yeah, the gifs have nothing to do with snow, but the sheer hate from those in these gifs is a feeling I currently share (towards the snow... I like dolphins... whales? eh...).

The snow, I don’t mind. The cold though, oh my. There’s a town just half an hour away from where I live and it made the top 10 coldest cities in the world just a couple of days ago. A bunch of places in Canada just got out of a -40 to -45 tempature that lasted a week and a half or so. I was in one of the places that had to deal with it and it fucking sucked.

Global Non-Warming. In all seriousness, this is what Climate Change is all about - extremes of either hot or cold. When a place in Canada gets the coldest temperatures it's ever had in 57 years, you know something is up.

When a place in Canada gets the coldest temperatures it's ever had in 57 years, you know something is up. I can’t believe the amount of people I’ve heard that say shit like “It’s still snowing and cold here, so obviously there’s no such thing as global warming/climate change”. Then there’s other people here that I know who love that climate change is happening since they want it to become warmer here ( ). I come from a oil and pipelining family, so I’ve always had arguments about climate change with them. They’re even starting to notice it though. We pretty much didn’t get snow here until a week or two before Christmas, and that usually never, ever happens. There’s also been a lot of homes in Calgary (two hours away from me) where pipes are starting to burst because we had such cold weather (like -45 degrees) and then suddenly had +5 degree weather.

I wish we had snow right now. Have never seen any before and the bloody Australian summer is the worst.

Snow is the best, it's the effing -30 windchill we've been getting in Minnesota for a weekend and a half. Luckily that will let up this week

Quick question, for those of you who are pro-snow... do you have to *shovel* this shit??
Because let me tell you I got done with my driveway with snow up to my fucking belly button at some points and I am beyond exhausted.

Shoveling is work, but the worst of the wind is usually past. Put some music on, laugh and dance your way through as you shovel. It'll take some extra time, but it won't seem that way if you approach it as a fun activity. At least it works that way in my experience. Same with cooking; I know that it's technically work, but if I treat it as such, I won't enjoy it.

It's days like today when I really wonder how anyone can possibly prefer winter over summer. I prefer winter because I can breathe better than sweating my ass off in the summer and getting a heat stroke. When its cold, I can adjust better to the temperature than the summer and relying on an AC. I live in Toronto and the temperature is -29. The people I feel sorry for are the homeless.

Have lived in Chicago most of my life so while it sucks, I'm definitely used to it.
