www.bfi.org.uk/news/50-greatest-films-all-timeFinally saw Au hasard Balthazar this week, so I only need to see Shoah, Jeanne Dielman, Satantango, Gertrud, and Histoire(s) du Cinema. Don't really see myself watching any of them anytime soon (well, maybe Jeanne Dielman).

Haven't seen Gertrud, Shoah, The Battle of Algiers, Some Like it Hot, Jeanne Dielman, Histoire du Cinema, Man with a Movie Camera, Pather Panchali, or Satantango. I plan on seeing all of these except for Shoah, which would be a massive time commitment to pretty depressing real life subject matter I'm not sure I'd ever be in the mood for sitting through. I'd be much more interested spending my time with a "big" film like Out 1 or Satantango.

The usual suspects:
#30 - Shoah #36 - Satantango #38 - Jeanne Dielman #48 - Historie(s) du cinema
I'd be up for watching them all but I'd have to be in the mood. Shoah interests me a lot because I'm really into history but generally I'm interested in all 4.

I mean it's really close to impossible without some breaks in between but it's good to test your cinematic limits once in a while, makes you gain a whole new appreciation for the medium.

I still need to see 47 of them. I've only seen 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Godfather and Psycho. I plan on seeing a lot of the others throughout the year.

Histoire(s) du Cinéma and Play Time. Now that Hulu won't stream movies for free with ads, I'll have a hard time catching up with these.
