One of my favorite Hollywood couples of all time along with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. I think it might break my heart if I ever heard anything really bad about either of them.

They seemed like a mismatched couple lol. I love one story where Anne was doing a shoot for something (with Brooks in tow), and she said she couldn't get rid of him.  |

Really like them together in To Be Or Not To Be (remake of course). They were such a great couple.

ibbi - OT, but did you find Bancroft convincing as a Brit? Hmm, think Elephant Man is the only time I've ever seen her do it off the top of my head, and no, I thought she was really out of place in the movie. Though that might have more to do with the producers American wife being randomly inserted into this very British movie, and less to do with her performance in particular. |

Anne Bancroft had terrible taste, but most beautiful women did (Loren, Beyonce etc.) How was Brooks terrible? By most accounts, isn't he an affable, funny man? At any rate, I'm glad Anne lived long enough to see her first (and, so far, only) grandchild, who was born two months before her death. |
