I bought The Speedways: Borrowed & Blue + Sunday Will Never Be The Same (2021) on CD today .......so this is the 5 songs on the EP (Borrowed & Blue) + 8 live versions (Sunday.....) of songs I already have from their studio albums Basically I have their whole catalog - 2 studio albums + this - on CD - how retro! - and I doubt their own families can say that tbh

Don't really by music for myself as I have no record player but the last album I bought was Ecailles de Lune by Alcest. Last album I bought overall was the new Lana Del Rey record.

Marquee moon and white light/white heat but those were gifted to me. Last one I actually bought myself was last record store day I managed to find a copy of “Johnny Thunders & Wayne Kramer’s Gang War”

World Is Yours - Mass of the Fermenting Dregs
I've been a fan of early MOTFD for awhile. I've had their self-titled album for a few years, and just got their short follow-up, which is one of the more invigorating shoegaze (or is it math rock?) releases out there. I'm not usually one for this genre, but MOTFD manages to make this both cozy and energetic.

The Pandoras - Stop Pretending (1986) - Vinyl - Promotional Copy
A moderator literally told me to STFU about my love for this album or he would make me change my screen name to "PaciNOMOREPANDORAS"But........I came across a promotional copy of the vinyl - same 12 songs as the CD - and this also includes much kitschy awesomeness - two 8 X 10 photos, a photo postcard with them standing around a car, a band patch, a band button / pin and a 1986 print interview (laminated!).....$10 .........probably worth like a bajillion or something....... What a haul....

Oh honeys, I loved Lana's first albums (The A.k.a Lizzy Grant one, Born to Die, Paradise & Honeymoon) but despite as much as I keep trying, I just can't get into her wailing dirge-like folk singer stuff that she does now. I really keep hoping she'll go back to doing more upbeat stuff like, National Anthem, Kinda Outta Luck, Off To The Races, You Can Be The Boss, etc. I heard she'd returned to form with this album, Blue Bannisters, but was just another disappointment for me.

Ah, the memories. I used to have saves for various places in the game, so I could pop in and play the music before going to bed. I've mentioned it elsewhere that I learned to read by playing FF7, and it was a major part of my life for many years. I just listened to the first disc of four and... well, I slept through it, mostly. I was tired. But that's part of why I love this music: It's comforting, a warm blanket of sounds to serve with a hot mug of tea on a snowy day.

The Dreadnoughts - Polka's Not Dead
This music just puts a big smile on my face. It is over-the-top and corny, but it is *fun.* My beloved folk genre gets a punk shot in the arm and it is such a blast to listen to.
