Unintentionally funny, goofy or just the opposite of the movie's intentions and the opposite of clever.
You got any?
Cause I don't.... What I have is a need for a laugh
(I randomly thought of "look closer" from American Beauty - which isn't half bad - and smiled at how edgy I used to find it once.)

Jaws: The Revenge:
"This time it's personal."
Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade:
"The man with the hat is back. And this time he's bringing his dad."

For a recent one, Expend4bles tagline "they'll die when they're dead" made me laugh every time I saw it.

Jaws: The Revenge: "This time it's personal." Bad? Isn't this one considered one of the greatest?

Hold on I found one thats actually really lame
The Gray Man WE’RE GONNA TRAIN YOU TO KILL BAD GUYS. AND SINCE YOU’VE ALREADY KILLED ONE, IT SHOULDN’T BE TOO DIFFICULT.
Hes already a trained killer in the movie is he not? or are they addressing the audience, specifically those who have killed people

This is either the worst or best of all time: Hombre means Man. Paul Newman is Hombre

(I randomly thought of "look closer" from American Beauty - which isn't half bad - and smiled at how edgy I used to find it once.) I'm not even that big on American Beauty but that's an objectively awesome tagline, people bought the poster en masse at the time just to stare at it and see what they were supposed to be looking for and it built up all this buzz for the movie without anyone even knowing what it was about. That's a great marketing campaign.

Ahem. It's a thread for worst taglines, not best taglines.

Ahem. It's a thread for worst taglines, not best taglines. I agree with you on AB (which I did admit is not bad on its own) and this one personally, but I like how with some it depends on "how one looks at it". The Tenant one *could* be seen as in extremely poor taste to some considering aspects of Polanski's persona outside of the film itself.

Jaws: The Revenge: "This time it's personal." Bad? Isn't this one considered one of the greatest? Only when Aliens does it.
