Could run 2000 yards in 14 games, could kill two people and get away with it, but could not outrun cancer. To overcome the hard tasks and fail at the simpler one. The Juice is a true true Bill.

Viewing his acquittal as a corrective because the judicial system has a racial bias is stupid, but the jury was unfortunately in the right for acquitting him, despite being 100% guilty as sin (his history of spousal abuse, his blood at the crime scene, the wound on his hand from the same night that he had multiple different explanations for, fleeing arrest, details in If I Did It that only the police and the killer would know). It's on the prosecution to get a conviction, not on the defence to prove their innocence. After Fuhrman pleaded the fifth, it would have been shockingly irresponsible for any jury to convict on the basis of reasonable doubt.

After Fuhrman pleaded the fifth, it would have been shockingly irresponsible for any jury to convict on the basis of reasonable doubt. I agree with you especially about Furhman pleading the fifth. But I was very turned off with Hill's take. Acknowledging OJ was an abusive murderer and then saying the acquittal was "necessary" rubbed me the wrong way knowing how brutal the murders were and how he terrorized Nicole for years.
On a related note, I watched OJ: Made in America which gave me a lot of context about the time period this trial took place and the racial tension. I fully get *why* they acquitted. But some of the jurors said they acquitted as revenge for Rodney King which gives me pause. I kind of have mixed feelings on how everything went down, and I recognize I'm looking at it in hindsight knowing how OJ behaved after.
