For a long time I used to say Helen Hunt was a "poor man's version" of Ellen Barkin - physically mostly and less edgy.....but then Helen Hunt won a BA Oscar so that didn't make sense.....um........ So who are some people you have said or still say it about? Doesn't need to be a total dismissal just that there's a better version of their screen persona   |

I always felt like David Dastmalchian was the poor man's Patrick Fischler, but in the last few years, Dastmalchian has lapped Fischler.
Similarly, I feel like Alden Ehrenreich started out as the poor man's Dane DeHaan, but like Dastmalchian, the student has become the master and overtaken the original.

Based on looks and similar vocal range, the trifecta of Tom Hardy, Logan Marshall-Green and Cosmo Jarvis fit the bill. Although talent wise I feel like neither of the other two will reach the heights that Hardy has.
