Frost/Nixon across the board save for supporting actor, which Brolin takes handily.

Um, I iike Frost / Nixon but Frost / Nixon is just a film of a play and it's film of a play directed by Ron Howard so you know it's not THAT good.........Milk for everything........Milk is one of Penn's most complete performances btw ......I loved Penn at one time but his work was almost always "partialy" successful - which is very odd for a great actor
.......in Milk he gives one of his best performances - and this time one of his most disciplined and thorough which was not his thing tbh....... it's a very "unlike Sean Penn usually" one.......

really didn't like Frosty. The faux-documentary interview format was clunky and unnecessary (at least when Reds did it they used the actual people) and Langella's Nixon is waaaaay too much. Talking and grumbling like he had rags stuffed in his mouth, and people thought Spall was annoying in Mr Turner

I'll double down lol. Never cared for Langella's performance. I haven't seen the other movie Nixons but with Langella I was always aware that he's "acting", and acting too much. He significantly overdoes the bluster and doesn't sound anything like the real guy.

But I really like Penn, Rourke and Jenkins.

Frost/Nixon across the board save for supporting actor, which Brolin takes handily. Is 2007-08 peak Brolin? Clearly it's 2018-19. I mean come on... playing both Thanos AND Cable?? Two ICONIC Marvel characters back to back (!!!) It should be every actor's dream...
