lol, first we find out Marty is a swindler, now he's working for Fox News. That's what having three of your films lose 10 Oscars will do to you.

Martin Scorsese is a lifelong practicing Catholic. He almost became a priest, but decided that film was his true passion. The docuseries gives him the opportunity to talk about our great saints and their impact on our society. Fox Nation jumped on the opportunity because they want to be more than a mouthpiece for Donald Trump, and put forward content everybody can enjoy. We have already seen Fox Nation do programs starring Dan Aykroyd, Rob Lowe, and Kevin Costner.
If you're going to do a series on religious figures, the best crowd would be the religious right. So win-win for everybody.

Agree with that 100% ^ but of course the Safe Space wackjobs are mad at hilm......so childish ........do you think anybody agrees with pacinoyes and HIS politics - fnck no, but we're all cool here and people love me and stuff ............um................. people are just like "pacinoyes.........knows his movies........kind of a weird movie analysis genius..........his politics are beyond stupid............repeatedly, casually offensive..........really knows his Tennis and Mission of Burma..........VERY hard to argue with - he's really good at making people look stupid (chuck, ) - maybe the best arguer in IMDB / MAR history ........older than fnck.......chicks love him.........he's kind of a fucking prick tbh...........but he's alright to me though............"
I suppose the backlash against Scorsese will continue but he won't care - and good for him........I'll watch it I'm sure ........

I don't really care that he's doing it with Fox News for the most part. I trust Scorsese, and I know he's not a right wing weirdo. But I think it is reasonable for people to be concerned since you say it will play best with the religious right. Fox News isn't known for creative freedom and honesty.

Fox News isn't known for creative freedom and honesty.I get their point: Bringing on Scorsese, one of the greatest filmmakers of all-time, gives legitimacy to the Fox News brand. That's where the complaint stems from. My view is that: Scorsese gets the opportunity to talk about religion on television. Fox Nation is giving him the platform. If somebody is giving you a platform to express your views, you jump on the opportunity. My other guess is that other platforms rejected his religious docuseries. But who knows, maybe Fox Nation viewers will reject his series, because it is perceived to be "woke".

It's not a disjunctive option.
