I imagine there'll be an announcement in the next couple of months.

I badly want it to be QT; be it a surprise, meaty cameo in The Movie Critic.
AGI would be interesting too.

I think she would work really well with Emerald Fennell.

Lynne Ramsay's already announced Die, My Love. Do you happen to know where this will fall in her schedule with upcoming film with Julianne Moore and Sandra Oh, Stone Mattress?

Lynne Ramsay's already announced Die, My Love. Do you happen to know where this will fall in her schedule with upcoming film with Julianne Moore and Sandra Oh, Stone Mattress? My understanding is that Polaris is in the can (evidenced by this interview with Variety), aiming for a festival bow this year. Stone Mattress is apparently a more arduous experience as it will require a much larger technical scale, and in this same interview, Ramsay says Die, My Love will probably be shot first: “It’s quite simple. It’s not set in the Arctic. It’s not in a boat. It’s just them in a house, it’s just them in a village, so it’s easy to make." Of course, things can and may have changed in the interim, but I still think this is a go. The last I heard, shooting for Die, My Love was supposed to be taking place in the first quarter of 2024, so it may well be underway if not already completed principal photography.

Polaris was never shot. That was an error by Variety. Lynne Ramsay is about as flaky as Luca Guadagnino when it comes to planned projects. Until there's photographic evidence that she's started filming something, take any announcement with a grain of salt.

Do you have a source that isn't Jordan Ruimy/World of Reel, because if you wanna talk flaky . . . I don't see anything on the Variety article indicating a retraction or correction, which they usually would.

I don't see anything on the Variety article indicating a retraction or correction, which they usually would. The interview attached to that Variety thing does seem to imply that it hasn't yet happened, and it was in August of 2023. So I'll defer on this one, as at least we hear it from her mouth rather than on the rumour mill. Still, Variety should retract the original article (especially as they're the ones who posted the interview from Sarajevo where she talks about Die, My Love as her next project.

Richtman is saying that Kyle Chandler has joined the cast of Stone Mattress, so that appears to be Ramsay's next movie, not Die My Love.
